29 November 2024: Violin recital by Mr. Eijin Nimura (UNESCO Artist for Peace)

On 29 November, a violin recital by Mr. Eijin Nimura was organised at the Residence of the Ambassador, Permanent Delegate of Japan to UNESCO. The event was attended by many guests from the UNESCO Secretariat and Permanent Delegations to UNESCO who enjoyed his violin performance.
Mr Nimura has built a successful career in the international arena through his performances, most of which have taken place outside Japan. At the same time, he has been actively involved in social activities since 1998, when he became the first Japanese artist to be appointed ‘UNESCO Artist for Peace’.
During the recital, he performed a special medley including Japanese songs such as 'Furusato (Old Home)' and 'Sato no Aki (Autumn in the Village)', much appreciated by the audience.
